Catching Up

It's been a while since I've updated. Things have been so-so.

First thing, my car broke down yet again. Eight hundred dollars later, I got my battery fixed. What eneded up happening is that I needed to replace my battery terminals. Instead of making it simple, my terminals not only hook up to the battery but every single electrical thing in my car. UGH! So, I had to buy terminals with lots of cables. I got it discounted but it still costed four hundred dollars. Then, my bf and his brother tried to put them in for me, but my car has to be stubborn. To replace the terminlas, you practically take everything out and then replace it. So, got it towed and worked on. Even the mechanic was surprised at what a hassel it was. He quoted three to four hours most. About seven hours later, I got it back. That there was the remaining four hundred dollars.

Next, I joined NaNoWriMo this year. I didn't do to well. Got about 4,000 of the 50,000 words written. Not good, but I had other things happening...

Such as, my dad calls me and says that he's remarried. The next day, he tells me that my Grandma went into the hospital. Then, on Novemember 6, three days from her 96th birthday, my Grandma passed away. It was prostate cancer and luckily, she went quickly. No more than a week after finding out she had it, she was gone. She was ready to go, cause she just gave up. I don't blame her too much. She lived a long life and already outlived one of her sons.

So, Meg and me flew to Florida and went to her services. Suckshat the only time that family gets together is during a funeral. It was good to see some of my family and I met some for the first time. Like my Dad's nephew, who I believe is also his godson, who is like three days younger than him... of was it months? I dunno, but they're very close together in age. I also met my stepmother, Sitora. A very sweet woman. My dad did good, but he beter not ruin it. The two are perfect for each other.

Now, it's almost Christmas time. Still have two gifts to get, but I'm gonna do that today, I think. I definitely need to do some wrapping.

Me in the back, (left to right) Meg, Dad, Sitora, Uncle Eddie, and Aunt Mary. [Yes, that's my dad's brother. I think there's a twenty something year difference between them.]

A&M

A&M and I do not mixed. Twice I have applied. Twice I have been accepted. Twice the money had fallen through. So... in other words... I'm not going. Yes, it has always been a childhood dream of mine, but I guess it wasn't meant to be. Oh well... What does this mean about school? I'm changing my major. Go for a teaching degree. Teach science. What grade? I dunno. I'll talk to a counselor soon to figure out what I need to do.

Other than that, I'm either fighting a cold or got serious sinus problems. My nose is all stuffy. Yuck!

Hi everyone. Decided to change my backgroumd. Not so depressing now...

Nothin much is happening here. I placed a bid on a Techno shirt. The auction goes on til the 15th. I was the last to bid as of now. We'll see what happens...

Been doing a lot of reading. Lots and lots of reading. Finished The Mediator Series by Meg Cabot. I really reccomend you read it. Then there's The Chicago Stars/Bonner Brothers Series by Susan Elizabeth Phillips. She one of my absolute favorite authors. Tied up there with Tamora Pierce. I found a new author too. Kerrelyn Sparks, who is a fellow Houstonian. She wrote How To Marry A Millioniare Vampire and Vamps And The City. Both funny... and romantic. Very good...

I'm gonna go take my brothers to go see Cars today. I've heard excellent things about it. We'll see....

Quick Update

Ok everyone. How y'all doing?

Thing have calmed down here some. Let's see... My Sissy is back in town. We've gone to The Improv to see Bob Sagat. I would definitely recommend you see him, unless you're easiely offended. He cusses the entire way through. Literally. We've also gone to the Katy Budget Book sale, seen X-Men, and... That's about it. X-Men was pretty good, although the ending does leave you hanging and I had some problems with some of the things the characters did.

I've also gone and seen The DaVinci Code. Ron Howard did an excellent job. He stayed as close to the book as possible. I'm happy.

Finally, I saw Poseidon. Another movie that wasn't all that bad.

That's about all that's been going on. There's some other things, I just got to go to work.
